John 5:36
36 “I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to finish—the very works that I am doing—testify that the Father has sent me.
List of: Jesus Miracles
John 10:37-38
37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father. 38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”
NOTE: If you Google the word Miracles, or more specifically the phrase “Miracles of Jesus” you’ll see over 47 million results. Many of the articles are awesome and informational. But as you read on (page after page) there is so much written on the miracles of Jesus to a point of major complexity. Trying to prove this point or another point in such detail that it’s overwhelming.
It’s not that complex! The four Gospels record 37 miracles by Jesus Over and over. It’s not like there were just one (or a couple). This is leaving out the greatest miracle of all: Jesus Dying on the Cross and Rising from the dead.
When I think of the miracles performed by Jesus I always go back to this Bible verse:
Matthew 7:16-17
16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.
By their fruit you will know them! This is so obvious. This is really all the explanation you need in life overall. Look at what goes on around you. It comes down to what is. I love this quote by Emily Dickinson:
Behavior is what a man does, not what he thinks, feels, or believes. ~ Emily Dickinson
What a person thinks, feels, and believes is ultra important! But in the end it all comes down to Matthew 7:16 when Jesus says … “By their fruit you will know them”.
Summary: The below bible passage is taken from where Thomas was doubting whether it was really Jesus appearing to him until Jesus proved it to him.
John 20:29-31
29 Then Jesus told him, “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
The Purpose of John’s Gospel
30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. 31 But these are written that you may believe [a] that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
(a) John 20:31 Or may continue to believe
Multiple other Miracles by Jesus not recorded (John 21:25)
John 21:25
25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.
